The Personal Data Protection and Cookie Policy applies to all websites, applications, games, contests and communications of the company Glamuse (hereinafter referred to as: the “Media”) whenever you (hereinafter interchangeably referred to as “You”; the “User”; the “Client User”) access the Media or use their services.
The Glamuse website and the Glamuse mobile application will be referred to hereinafter interchangeably and jointly as: “the Site”.
1. Data Controller
Glamuse attaches the utmost importance to the protection of your personal data and respect for your privacy. The data controller is the company GLAMUSE (hereinafter Glamuse), with its registered office at 33 Rue de Gasperich, L-5816 Hesperange, Luxembourg. Glamuse has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with the National Commission for Data Protection.
2. Object and Purpose of Processing
The personal data likely to be collected from Users is intended for the provision of the various services of the Media, their improvement, their adaptation to each User according to their preferences, their maintenance in a secure environment, and their promotion.
More specifically, data likely to be collected on the Media may be used for:
- Access and use of the Media
- Management of the operation and optimization of the Media.
- Personalization of the Media based on the User's detected preferences and location.
- Order management (including payment, delivery, returns, and any client user requests).
- Sending notifications for order tracking.
- Fraud prevention and detection and security incident management.
- Management of potential disputes with Users.
- Sending commercial and advertising information based on your preferences.
- Sending commercial SMS.
- Sending a Newsletter.
- Organization and holding of contests.
- Measuring Media traffic.
- Customer satisfaction management through sending requests for evaluation of the Site and/or ordered products.
- Management of a loyalty program.
- Management of a referral program integrated into the loyalty program.
- Sending notifications via the web, messaging services (such as WhatsApp), and social media (including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest).
- Displaying targeted advertising on the web, on messaging services (such as WhatsApp), and on social media (including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest).
3. Categories of Data
The data likely to be collected on the Media are as follows:
Identity: title, surname, first name, address, delivery address, phone number, email address, date of birth, internal processing code allowing client identification.
Order-related data: transaction number, details of purchases, ordered size, amount of purchases, data relating to invoice payments (payments, unpaid debts, discounts), product returns, delivery incidents, complaints.
Payment method data: For order payment, you have a choice of several payment methods. With each payment, Glamuse reciprocally shares the necessary personal data for the transaction with the operator of the method you have chosen.
Data relating to credit card payment is not processed by Glamuse but by its payment service provider partners.
In case of payment by bank transfer: the IBAN number will be processed.
In case of payment by check: the information necessary for its verification and cashing will be processed.
Data necessary for loyalty and prospecting actions: purchase history, connection and navigation data, preferences and interests, viewed products, identity information relating to participation in contests and/or promotional operations.
Technical usage and operation data: Log files are used solely to ensure the quality and security of the Site.
4. Legal Bases
The legal bases used for the various processing operations set out in this policy are as follows:
- Performance of the contract (Article 6.1.b General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) for:
- Access to the customer account and its use
- Data allowing order management.
- Data necessary for payment in case of payment by bank transfer or check.
- Data necessary for granting special benefits via the loyalty and referral program.
- Processing and management of complaints or requests from client users.
- Sending notifications for order tracking.
- Our legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f GDPR) for:
- Access and use of the Site
- Processing of data necessary for loyalty actions when you have placed an order on the Site.
- Measuring Media traffic.
- Sending commercial and advertising information about products similar to those ordered on the Site and sold by Glamuse.
- Sending a Newsletter and commercial SMS when an order has been placed.
- User consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR) for:
- Personalization and optimization of services.
- Processing of data necessary for loyalty and prospecting actions.
- Sending commercial and advertising information based on your preferences.
- Sending a Newsletter.
- Sending commercial SMS.
- Sending a request for evaluation of Site and/or ordered products.
- Processing and publication of reviews on the Website and/or on ordered products.
- Organization and holding of contests.
- Sending notifications via the web, messaging services, and social media.
- Displaying targeted advertising on the web, on messaging services, and on social media.
- Our legal obligations (Article 6.1.c GDPR) for:
- All processing necessary for accounting management.
- Fraud prevention and detection necessary to maintain a secure environment.
- Processing and management of disputes.
5. Data Recipients
The data collected is intended for authorized Glamuse personnel and may be communicated to third-party subcontractors when necessary, notably for:
- Hosting and technical maintenance of the Media;
- Security of the Media;
- Order management and delivery (carriers);
- Payment management and fraud prevention;
- Customer relationship management (Support, review collection)
- Sending commercial solicitations.
- Display of targeted advertisements on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. These partners act as joint controllers with Glamuse for these processing activities.
When necessary, collected data may be transferred to third-party service providers outside the European Union. Specifically, GLAMUSE informs the User that their personal data may be transmitted to providers located in the United States within the framework of emailing and SMS campaigns.
Before any transfer of personal data outside the EU, Glamuse ensures that its providers guarantee an adequate level of protection or puts in place standard contractual clauses in accordance with European regulatory requirements. More specifically, for transfers to the United States, Glamuse ensures that its providers respect the Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, puts in place standard contractual clauses in accordance with European regulatory requirements.
Glamuse undertakes not to market your personal data and never to sell it to third parties.
6. Data Retention Period
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Once this period has elapsed, personal data is anonymized and may be used for statistical or research purposes.
Data necessary for order management and invoicing: Data relating to your orders (name, address, ordered products, etc.) is retained for the duration necessary for the execution of the contract and management of guarantees, and may be retained longer to meet our legal obligations (e.g., accounting and tax obligations).
Data necessary for loyalty and prospecting actions: We retain your data (email address, preferences, size etc.) until you withdraw or, at the latest, within three years of your last interaction with our services.
Data relating to customer relationship monitoring: We retain your data for the entire duration of the contractual relationship.
Customer account data: Your data is stored as long as your account remains active. In the event of prolonged inactivity on your part for a period of 5 years (starting from your last activity or your last purchase), we commit to anonymizing your account data.
However, data required for order management, billing, and more generally for the fulfillment of our legal obligations, will be retained for as long as required by law or for the duration necessary to fulfill our obligations
Payment method data: Data relating to payment by credit card or via PayPal is not processed or retained by Glamuse.

8. Security and Confidentiality Measures
GLAMUSE implements organizational, technical, software, and physical measures to ensure the integrity, security, and confidentiality of data and notably to prevent it from being distorted, damaged, or accessed by unauthorized third parties. GLAMUSE uses the services of PCI-DSS certified providers to ensure payment security.
9. Glamuse Newsletter
If you have given your consent or if you have previously placed an order on the Site, Glamuse may send you newsletters by email to keep you informed about our latest news and offers. For previous orders, we may suggest products that are similar or complementary to those you have already purchased
You may, at any time, customize the type of information you wish to receive by clicking the dedicated link at the bottom of each newsletter or through your customer account under the « Newsletters & Alerts » section

10. Text message
If you have given your consent, or if you have previously placed an order on the Site (excluding US customers), Glamuse may use your mobile phone number to send you marketing communications (including promotional offers, private sale alerts, sale notifications, etc.)
You may opt out of these messages at any time and free of charge by:

11. Glamuse Club Loyalty Program
You may join the Glamuse loyalty program to enjoy special benefits.
By becoming a member of the Glamuse Club loyalty program, you consent to receiving email or SMS notifications regarding your status and benefits.
You can opt out of the loyalty program at any time through your customer account under the « Loyalty Program » section
Loyalty program data is linked to your customer account; its retention period is aligned with that of your customer account data.
12. Followed Brands
You can follow your favorite brands to tailor the Site's content to your preferences and receive Glamuse communications related to the brands you love.
Following a brand implies your consent to receive email communications or notifications from Glamuse dedicated to the brands you have selected.
You may unfollow a brand and deactivate this service at any time through your customer account under the « My Followed Brands » section.
13. Targeted Advertising on Social Media
In order to present you with offers and products tailored to your interests, Glamuse carries out advertising campaigns on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. To this end, we may securely transmit certain information about you, such as your email address, to these platforms. The relevant social network then matches this data with its own members to display Glamuse advertisements to them, in compliance with its own terms of use and your privacy settings on said social network. If you do not want your data to be used for personalized advertising on social media, you can object by refusing or disabling the "Marketing" cookie category. You can change your choices at any time by clicking on the "Cookies" tab at the bottom of each page of the Site or from your customer account in the "My Cookies" section. You also have the option to manage your advertising preferences directly on the platforms you use (for example, in the "Ad" settings of your Facebook or Instagram account).

2.4 Marketing
