End-of-year new in iconic lingerie pieces

Some fine lingerie collections have the power to make an immediate impact and become iconic as soon as they are launched. Déesse en Glam is one of the most striking examples. As 2023 draws to a close, Lise Charmel has made no mistake, deciding to repeat the experience with new colours and models to enrich its now cult collection.

The first is in delicate beige with chic tone-on-tone embroidery, and the second in navy with silver embroidery, just as bewitching and luxurious. Déesse en Glam in black and gold is not to be outdone, and has been enriched with new pieces including a sculptural bodysuit that should delight lovers of the genre.

Luxury lingerie down to the smallest detail

A dazzling, sensual allure to glow in the enchanted night – that’s the perfect definition of Déesse en Glam. With gold embroidery the absolute star of the collection, the expertise of the Lyonnaise fashion house is clearly in evidence. Flowers embroidered in multifilament gold on a black background and other interlacing decorate each piece of lingerie, creating the effect of a delicate tattoo. The ultimate detail: the pearly pearl between the cups, a jewel-like signature for these exceptional pieces of corsetry.

In terms of materials, they played with transparencies, using inlaid Leavers lace, tulle and printed devoré. Velvet and silk satin were also used for loungewear pieces, accentuating the plurality of this collection, which has plenty of surprises in store.

Déesse en Glam for every figure

Designed to enhance feminine curves, Déesse en Glam is available in a wide range of sizes. From A to G cups, from 36 to 50, these Lise Charmel creations will flatter a wide range of singularities.

Fine lingerie and cosy loungewear: a multi-faceted collection

Déesse en Glam is a generous and versatile collection for lovers of beautiful lingerie. But it doesn’t forget the lovers of seductive, comfortable homewear. Bras (7 models) and briefs (6 variations) can be combined ad infinitum, increasing the pleasure of wearing this delicate design tenfold. The loungewear section is not to be outdone. Soft and fluffy in velvet trimmed with silk satin, or sensual in devoré babydolls, revealing part of the skin in a clever game of hide-and-seek.

— Exclusive interview for Glamuse —

Sylvia and Jacques Daumal, from Création Lise Charmel,
take us behind the scenes of Déesse en Glam: Meeting.

#1. Déesse en Glam has been a big hit with fans of beautiful lingerie. Were you expecting such success?

Déesse en Glam lingerie was a beautiful, long creative adventure that involved most of our trade specialists. We wanted precious models with exceptionally fine embroidery stitching. All the work was carried out within our teams, between France and Italy, with the ambitious project ofan authentic and luxurious creation. Lise Charmel has unique expertise in very high-end lingerie. We owe the success of this rare lingerie creation to the discerning taste of our customers. Once again, they have surprised us with the extent of their positive choice.

#2. What were your sources of inspiration?

Our main source of inspiration was the Italian Renaissance, and more particularly the work of the painter Botticelli. His original talent as a chiseller shines through in his paintings with an expert rendering of finely engraved jewellery pieces on precious metal. Lise Charmel has designed her rose motifs, alternating with tiaras and fine pearls in this jewellery spirit, making the gold sing with seven different thread tones to restore all the sparkle and relief of the motif.

#3. With such a rich collection, how much time elapses between the creative phase and the finalisation of the products?

The creation project that gave birth to Déesse en Glam began a long time ago. We produced several drafts before embarking on the final project, which coordinated a wide range of models, including daywear, eveningwear, new bras, plus sizes and couture bodies. The production phase, including all the wear tests in particular, which are long and very demanding at Lise Charmel, took a year and a half.

#4. How do you choose the materials you use?

The choice of materials at Lise Charmel calls on a wide range of skills, from the most technical, even scientific, to the most subjective, given the sheer number and diversity of components. More than thirty components for Déesse en Glam! We have to constantly reconcile qualities such as aesthetics, fit, comfort, softness, the strength of the seams and colours, support, application, the durability of the models after frequent washing, and so on. Lise Charmel’s position is clear: excellence for the well-being and satisfaction of its customers.

#5. The visuals in this collection are all stunning. Personally, do you have a favourite?

We are touched by this appreciation of our visuals; we spend a lot of time preparing the shoot for a collection. We try very hard to convey the spirit of the design. All our models are created with the desire to provide our customers with the adornments that will enhance their personal beauty, models that stand out from the ordinary and sublimate their uniqueness.
Then, after the shoot, we again spend a lot of time selecting the photos, one by one, in this complicity of finding the natural, elegant or abandoned pose in which the Lise Charmel woman can find herself. We love all these photos, they show the diversity of women, the diversity of their personalities as Déesse en Glam sublimates them.
